The European Commission has published the proposed revision to the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC. The public consultation of the proposal was closed on 2005-06-25 and a report of the responses to the consultation is now available on http://europa.eu.int./comm/enterprise/medical_devices/consult.htm.

Following from the consultation, it is expected that a Commission proposal will be submitted to the Council and the Parliament in October 2005.
